Church prayer bulletin

October 2004

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Thank you for your prayer support!

October 3

Pastoral retreat

Tomorrow through Wednesday, SK MB pastors and spouses gather for their annual retreat at The Quest at Christopher Lake. Pray for a good time of physical and spiritual refreshment for everyone attending. Brian Siewert from Focus on the Family is the resource speaker and Phil and Shirl Siebert from Bethany College will lead the worship – please uphold these people in prayer as they prepare and as they minister.

October 10

SKMB Executive Board meeting

Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good! Pray for the SK MB Executive Board as they meet this Saturday in Saskatoon. Establishing vision and direction, projecting the budget for 2005 and planning for the March Annual Convention are some main agenda items.

October 17

New pastor couple for West Portal!

We give thanks for a number of new pastoral staff that God has provided for our churches. Today David and Mel Berg are being commissioned as Small Groups Minister at West Portal Church in Saskatoon. Pray that they will experience joy and that the church will experience new blessings as a result of this ministry.

Redberry events

Tonight Redberry Bible Camp is holding an event called Redberry in the City, and on Friday Redberry’s Fall Banquet will be held at Bethany College. Pray that these events will bring honour to God and will help build a stronger support base for the camp.

October 24

Prairie Winds Church launches!

Today is a great day of celebration as Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw has its official launch service. Although they have been holding services on a regular basis, today is the first “public” service for this newly established church plant. Also, praise the Lord for the 250 people who attended their community BBQ on September 12!

October 31

Lots happening!

There’s lots happening this week. The SKMB Board of Church Extension meets on Wednesday. The MCC Convention takes place on Friday and Saturday. Bethany College’s Annual Convention is being held on Saturday as well as Bethany's Annual Dinner Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings. Pray that all these events will be more than just meetings, but rather events that will lead to accomplishing Kingdom Purposes.

If you have something that you’d like prayer support for from your fellow member churches of the Saskatchewan Conference, please forward it to the website coordinator.
