Church prayer bulletin

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Our pastors’ retreat
Pray for our pastors and spouses as they gather for their annual retreat from Monday to Wednesday. A number are arriving on Sunday night for a period of “unwinding” before the retreat. Pray for a great time of refreshing. Please also pray for our speaker, David Macfarlane, as he speaks on “building new bridges to reach our communities for Christ”.
Multi-denominational youth ministry starting!
Anglican, United, Pentecostal, Baptist and MB ministers are banding together to start children’s Bible club, youth work, help for young parents, etc. in Perdue and district. Please pray for integrity and a spirit of unity within the organizing group.

Give thanks
May our hearts be overflowing this thanksgiving weekend with thanks to God for His mercies which are new every morning! This weekend the Herbert MB Church is gathering to recognize God’s faithfulness throughout their past 100 years of ministry. Pray that this congregation will have great joy in anticipating God’s faithfulness into the future.
Provincial board meets
This Saturday, the Provincial Executive Board meets in Regina. Pray for wisdom for these gifted and godly leaders as they work together to set a direction for our provincial ministry.

20 years for Gateway Community Church
Today Gateway Community Church in Canora celebrates 20 years of ministry. Pray that the congregation will be encouraged to press on into the future as they look back and see the amazing things God has done in their past.
MLDT continues its kingdom work
Pray for the Ministry Leadership Development Team as they meet on Tuesday. Pray that God continues to give this team great vision for calling and developing our future leaders.
Redberry Bible Camp news
- Come join RBC for coffee and desert nights starting at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Grove Community Church on October 22 and Waldheim MB Church on October 30.
- Please pray for the camp as they search for a new director and for the Nightingales who are returning to Brazil to be involved in camping ministry.
Bethany College on the road
Please pray for President Rick Schellenberg as he travels extensively over the next two weeks, representing Bethany in the constituency and nationally. Please also pray for Recruitment Director Dave Carey as he travels Western Canada with the Christian College and University Tour, looking to connect with potential future students.

MBBS celebrates 50 years!
Praise God for our biblical training centers at Bethany College and at our Seminary. On Saturday, Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary celebrates 50 years of ministry! As the mandate from the past is reviewed pray that a clear mission for the future will be seen.

Pray for God’s blessing on people with a heart for the youth!
Praise God for all our youth pastors and many youth worker volunteers. Today the Herbert MB Church commissions their new youth pastor couple – Clinton and Nikki Hartog. Join this congregation as they praise God for His faithful provision.
MCC annual meeting next weekend
Pray for the MCC annual meeting being held in Yorkton on Friday and Saturday. Especially pray for the congregation at Parkland Community Church as they are very involved in the hosting logistics for these meetings.
