Church prayer bulletin
November 2005
Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.
Thank you for your prayer support!

Urgent prayer for the Almeidas
Joe and Shantelle Almeida are our church planter couple at Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw. After almost two weeks of intense pain in her lower back, Shantelle persuaded the doctors to examine her carefully. A tumor was discovered and more tests revealed it to be large, rapidly growing, and attached to three vertebra. She had surgery and a portion of the tumor was removed. Some other tumors were discovered which are not operable due to their location on the spine; another has since appeared around her brain. She has been diagnosed with a form of cancer that the doctors feel only began about three weeks ago. Further surgery was scheduled for Thursday.
Joe also needs much prayer at this time, as does their eight-year-old daughter Mikhayla. Pray for healing and peace, and for God to be glorified in this humanly devastating situation.

Church planting meetings
This week Canadian Conference ministers and church planting directors gather in Toronto for a training event on “Cultivating Church Multiplication Movements” (Mon. and Tues.) followed by the Church Planting Congress (Wed. to Fri.). Pray that as Board of Church Extension Chair Gary Sawatzky and Conference Minister Ralph Gliege attend, they would be able to gather useful information for our Saskatchewan context.
SK MB leadership forum
Pray for SK MB pastors, moderators and treasurers as they gather on Saturday for a leadership forum in Saskatoon. The focus is “Shaping Budgets Around Vision”.

Living Hope news
Pray for Living Hope Church in Saskatoon as they search for a pastor and also as they raise funds to purchase the building which they presently use. Please also pray that the craft sale being held this Saturday will not only serve as a fundraiser but will also be a great time of bonding, fellowship and reaching out to the community.

First Sunday of Advent
Pray that our hearts will truly be filled with anticipation for the “Coming of the King” this Advent season. Today Conference Minister Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege would appreciate your prayers as they minister at Parliament Community Church.
Saskatchewan and Canadian Conference leadership meet
On Tuesday a number of provincial MB leaders are meeting in Saskatoon with several Canadian MB Conference representatives to talk about the ministries and vision of the national and provincial MB conferences, and to make plans as to how we can connect and help each other accomplish our vision. Pray for wisdom and clarity in these conversations.
