Church prayer bulletin

December 2005

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

December 4

Planted to produce

Pray for the provincial Board of Church Extension as they meet this Thursday. Pray that they be granted wisdom in discerning and planning future church plants. Please continue to pray for our newest Church Plants . . . and especially for Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw and for the Almeidas during this time of difficulty with Shantelle’s health. For updates on Shantelle’s battle against cancer you can go to her website.

December 11

Christmas banquets abound

Many Christmas banquets and programs will take place this week. Pray that the true meaning of Christmas will grip our hearts. Pray for Director of Church Ministries Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege as they minister to two senior groups this week – in West Portal Church on Tuesday and in Prince Albert Alliance Church on Thursday.

December 18

A season of giving

The common question this week is “have you finished your Christmas shopping?” As the end of the year draws near, this is also a good time to ask yourself whether you have given all you can for missions, schools, camps, the church and denominational ministries. We give thanks for faithful churches and individuals who have donated faithfully and sacrificially. Be in prayer asking God to guide you in regard to any additional year end giving. And please . . . don’t forget the poor.

New Year’s Eve fundraiser

Pray for Living Hope Church is they do a final fundraiser event on New Year’s Eve for the purchase of the church building. Pray that this event will bring glory to God and that the necessary funds will be raised for the building purchase.
