Church prayer bulletin
January 2007
Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

January 7
Praise the Lord!
Today is a great day to praise the Lord . . . for His mercies are new every morning . . . and His faithfulness is always great (Lamentations 3:22–23)! This is wonderful news for us all as we begin a new year of service to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
Prayer for Joe & Mikhayla
Please pray for Pastor Josinaldo Almeida and his daughter, Mikhayla, as they spend this final full week in Brazil before returning back to pastoral ministry at Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw. Pray that their hearts will be comforted, their bodies refreshed, and their spirits renewed as they spend this time with Joe’s family.
January 14
Provincial Council of Boards meets
Our Provincial MB Council of Boards meets this Saturday in Regina. Pray for God’s guidance, direction and wisdom as they make final plans for our provincial convention taking place this March at Hope Fellowship Church in Saskatoon. Praise the Lord for our Moderator – Ron Dyck! Ron is a dedicated servant, volunteering much of his time to this valuable ministry.
There are positions open on several of our SK conference boards – please pray that the people that God is already preparing to serve accept His call, and step out in faith and obedience to that call.
January 21
In search of lead pastors . . .
Please pray for pastoral searches happening in several of our SK conference churches. Especially pray for the congregations at Lucky Lake and Kelstern as they both search for a lead pastor. Ask God to continue to prepare and prompt the individuals He has chosen to serve within these two congregations.
January 28
“Youth Advance 2007” busts loose @ Bethany!
Youth Advance 2007 takes place at Bethany College this Friday to Sunday. Please pray for the completion of the preparations for this action-packed event and for safe travel for all the participants. This exciting weekend will also be a decision-making weekend for many Grade 12 students as they contemplate their future. Pray that a number of them will be drawn to become students at Bethany.
