Church prayer bulletin

August 2007

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Monthly prayer focus We are asking all our SK Conference churches to light their Harvest Saskatchewan candle the first Sunday of each month and spend time in prayer on the monthly theme during the service. August’s prayer focus is . . . “For a renewed commitment to being and making disciples.”

August 5

It’s all about being and making . . .

To be true followers of Jesus, we must also be leading others to follow Him. This month’s Harvest Saskatchewan Prayer Focus calls us to a renewed commitment to being and making disciples. Let’s ask God to create a burning desire within our hearts to follow Him personally and to see others following Him too. Pray today for a specific person whom you would like to see become a Christ Follower.

Youth pastor candidate @ Living Hope

Pray for the congregation at Living Hope Church in Saskatoon as they candidate an individual today for the youth pastor position. Pray for a wise spirit of discernment for both the congregation and the candidate.

August 19

Final week @ West Bank & Redberry

Pray for our camp directors and staff as they enter the final week of camp today – West Bank Bible Camp with Youth Camp and Redberry Bible Camp with Junior High Camp. Pray for protection, strength and for amazing spiritual results in this concluding week of camp ministry for this summer.

Woodrow & Kelstern seeking pastors

Pray for the congregations at our churches in Woodrow and Kelstern as they seek the Lord’s leading for a pastor.

Pastor couple returns to Lucky Lake!

Praise the Lord that Ken and Dawn Sperling are returning to Lucky Lake as pastor couple some time this Fall. The Sperlings pastored at Lucky Lake from 1977 to 1980.
