Church prayer bulletin

September 2007

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Monthly prayer focus We are asking all our SK Conference churches to light their Harvest Saskatchewan candle the first Sunday of each month and spend time in prayer on the monthly theme during the service. September’s prayer focus is . . . “For strong partnership between the Harvest Saskatchewan Team and the Canadian Conference.”

Partnership . . . commitment . . . working together . . . hearts stirring . . . harvest!

Pray for a healthy partnership and strong commitment between the Harvest Saskatchewan Team and the Canadian Conference as they work together to strengthen the gospel witness in key communities throughout this province. Pray for a stirring within each of our hearts for not-yet-Christians within neighbouring communities and for the Spirit’s work in their hearts.

Kick-off Sunday in Saskatchewan!

Today many churches “kick off” their fall “harvest” plans. Please pray for the Holy Spirit’s anointing . . . that ministry be Christ-centred and alive with spiritual vitality.

Interim pastor for Wynyard

Pray for the congregation at the Wynyard Gospel Church as they consider the possibility of an interim pastor. Pray also that the support given by surrounding Mennonite Brethren congregations as well as the SK Conference will help this church be a vibrant gospel witness in this community.

Parkland breaks down walls

The congregation at Parkland Community Church has been working on expanding and renovating their sanctuary. Praise the Lord for the need for additional space! A rededication of this facility is being planned for this fall. Pray that this building and the people of this congregation will truly be set apart to accomplish God’s eternal purposes.

Excitement @ West Portal

Today is an exciting day at West Portal Church in Saskatoon! Let’s join them as they praise God and celebrate His goodness! Several of their ministry staff will be recognized for five and ten years of continuous service, plus Rob and Krista Kroeker will be commissioned as Associate Pastor of Community Impact.

Retreat!

Pray for the Saskatchewan MB Conference ministry staff as they gather tonight through to Wednesday for their annual Pastoral Retreat taking place at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp. Please also pray for Lynn Jost, a seminary faculty member from MBBS–Fresno, as he speaks from the book of Esther. Pray for spiritual and physical refreshment for each of these ministers and their spouses.
