Church prayer bulletin

November 2007

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Thank you for your prayer support!

Monthly prayer focus

We are asking all our SK Conference churches to light their Harvest Saskatchewan candle the first Sunday of each month and spend time in prayer on the monthly theme during the service.

November’s prayer focus is . . . “For unity as we pursue the transformation of our Province for Christ.” (John 17:11)

November 4

Just imagine . . .

As we light the Harvest Saskatchewan candle today we are praying for unity as we pursue the transformation of our Province for Christ (John 17:11). Just imagine the transformation from darkness if all 30 lit candles from the Saskatchewan MB churches were placed in one room. This is symbolic of the difference each “light” can make throughout this province.

Thanksgiving in more ways than one!

Give thanks for 15 continuous years of pastoral ministry given by Ken and Mary Epp at Main Centre. A thanksgiving celebration is taking place today.

November 11

Ministry milestone @ FGCC

Rejoice with the children and families at Forest Grove Community Church as they celebrate five years of pastoral ministry given by Marilyn Muller. Jesus loves children. Thank God for people such as Marilyn who have a special gift of ministering to the children.

You can only imagine . . .

Outreach Canada hosts the National Church Planting Congress, “Imagine 2007”, held in Ottawa from Wednesday to Friday. Pray for Dwayne Barkman, Jeff Peters and Ralph Gliege who will be in attendance on behalf of the Harvest Saskatchewan Team. As you pray, imagine the great transformation that God will to bring to people in this province and throughout the world.

November 18

Lucky Lake imagines the possibilities . . .

Today is a day of great rejoicing for the congregation at Lucky Lake as they commission their new pastoral couple, Ken and Dawn Sperling. Praise the Lord for this provision and pray for a fruitful ministry. Pray for former pastor couple, Wes and Wendy Schatz, as they continue to faithfully work and serve in both the community and the church.

November 25

Excitement in Yorkton!

Praise the Lord for the completion of the enlargement and renovations to the sanctuary at Yorkton. Today the congregation is assembling to rededicate both the facility and themselves to the glory of God. Praise the Lord that transformation has not only happened to the building but is also taking place in the lives of individuals and in the life of this congregation.

Bethany imagines . . .

Please pray for the Annual Bethany College Board Planning Retreat on Nov. 29–Dec. 1. Pray for the board’s wisdom and discernment as they direct the college in its ministry, imagining what could be . . . in stewardship of its resources and in its place of service in providing quality post secondary biblical education.

If you have something that you’d like prayer support for from your fellow member churches of the Saskatchewan Conference, please forward it to the website coordinator.
