Church prayer bulletin
September 2008
Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Monthly prayer focusSeptember marks the end of the growing season for crops and gardens, but is the beginning for ministry “kick off” in the churches. Pray that this will be a season of great spiritual and numerical growth in the church. |
September 7
Parliament “kicks off” & commissions
Today Parliament Community Church in Regina not only has fall “kick off” but they also commission a new youth pastor couple – Nathan and Chelsey Friedt. Pray for God’s rich blessing upon Nathan and Chelsey and upon the ministry in Regina.
MB summit on pastoral leadership
From Tuesday to Thursday Mennonite Brethren leaders will be gathering in Denver, CO for a leadership summit to address the discerning, calling, equipping and assigning of pastoral leaders. Pray that this summit will have a long-term impact for present and future pastors.
September 14
Parkland celebrates 25 years of ministry!
Milestones are great times to stop to reflect and then praise the Lord for his goodness. Today Parkland Community Church in Yorkton is celebrating 25 years of ministry. Give thanks and pray for Harv and Shirley Janzen as they continue to give pastoral leadership.
September 21
Pierceland “plant”
Today Rob and Tricia Kroeker are being commissioned as church planters in an effort to recast new vision into the life and ministry at Pierceland. Pray for God’s protecting and guiding hand, and for enthusiasm on the part of those who have been a part of the church as it has existed over the years.
MCC and the 21st century
This evening through Tuesday MCC is hosting a discernment summit in Winnipeg for the purpose of gaining direction and guidance for the task that God is calling MCC to accomplish in the 21st century. Pray for openness to God’s leading during these days.
SK Conference leadership meets
Pray for the SK MB Conference Council of Boards meeting in Saskatoon this Saturday and especially for our moderator, Ron Dyck, as he gives leadership.
September 28
Ministry milestone @ Dalmeny
Today is a day of celebration as Dalmeny Community Church recognizes Jason and Karina Dyck for 5 years of ministry as associate pastor. Give thanks to God for them.
On Faith & Life . . .
Pray for the Canadian Board of Faith and Life as they meet in Winnipeg this Friday and Saturday. Give thanks and pray for Terry Froese as he represents the SK MB Conference on this board.
