Church prayer bulletin

December 2008

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Thank you for your prayer support!

Monthly prayer focus

Our lives are filled with preparations and events surrounding the celebration of Christ’s first coming. This is a great month to remind ourselves that Christ is coming again. Pray that we will be watching, waiting, and working when he comes.

December 7

They’re celebrating in Wynyard!

Tonight is an evening of celebration as friends and church families gather in Wynyard to commission Steve and Shirley Wiebe as pastor couple. Praise God for his provision of a pastor and give thanks for the congregations at Foam Lake, Lanigan and Watrous as they give financial support and encouragement for this ministry.

Beechy banquet blessing

Christmas is a wonderful time to give gifts and good news to neighbours and friends. The congregation at Beechy is giving the gift of a banquet to the community on Saturday evening. The good news of Christmas will be shared at this banquet. Pray that there will be room in the hearts of people to fully receive and appreciate the Good News.

December 14

Parkland pastoral pursuit

Pray for the congregation at Parkland Community Church in Yorkton as they carry on the ministry in the absence of a pastor. Pray for God’s guidance and direction as they begin the process of a pastoral search. Pray for Harv and Shirley Janzen as they soon begin their new pastoral ministry in Gimli, Manitoba.

December 21

Blaine Lake transformation

Tonight the Blaine Lake Gospel Chapel has been transformed into a Bethlehem market place. The community has been invited to enjoy the evening of crafts, shops, food and fun and then to stop at the stable to see the new born baby. Pray with this congregation that the residents of Blaine Lake will truly understand why Christmas is Christmas.

December 28

Finishing well and beginning right

Pray for one another that we will all “finish well” as the old year concludes and that we will all “begin right” as the new year begins.

If you have something that you’d like prayer support for from your fellow member churches of the Saskatchewan Conference, please forward it to the website coordinator.
