Church prayer bulletin

February 2009

Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Thank you for your prayer support!

Monthly prayer focus

The Bible tells us that faith, hope and love remain, “but the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor 13:13). During this Valentine’s month ask God to fill your heart with love for someone who needs the Lord.

Pastoral search for Foam Lake

Please pray for the congregation at Foam Lake as they begin the process of a pastoral search following the recent resignation of their pastor. Pray for an encouraging ministry as Conference Minister Ralph Gliege speaks today.

Thank you Darlene!

The congregation at West Portal Church is thanking Darlene Klassen today as she concludes six-and-a-half years as their children’s minister. Thank the Lord for Darleen’s faithful ministry and thank him also for providing Katrina Funk who recently started serving in this position.

Summit #1 @ Hope Fellowship

Please pray for clear teaching from God’s word as Director of Church Ministries Ralph Gliege speaks today to the congregation at Hope Fellowship Church in preparation for their first corporate step of “refocusing”. Please also include in your prayers Dave Jackson and Dwayne Barkman as they lead the church through Summit #1 on Wednesday and Thursday evening. As the people chart the church’s 15 year time line, pray for a clear picture of the past so that there can be an understanding of lessons learned, enabling the church to move purposefully and confidently into the future.

Healing . . . part of the church’s mission

This evening Conference Minister Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege are ministering at Prairie Winds Church in Moose Jaw. The church is in a series of messages from Acts entitled “The Mission of the Church Demonstrated”. Tonight’s theme covers the topic of healing as a part of the mission of the church. Pray for a clear teaching from God’s word.

February 15

It’s ten years already?

Today the congregation at Forest Grove Community Church is praising God as they recognize Harry and Judy Strauss for their past ten years of ministry. Pray for Harry as he continues to serve as adult discipleship pastor.

A fresh start in Pierceland

Pray for Pastor Rob Kroeker in Pierceland as he seeks to pull together three leaders from within their own church to form a task force to guide their future re-start ministry direction in that town.

Engagement on the horizon

Pray for the Harvest Saskatchewan Team as they form engagement teams in the areas of discipleship, leadership development, and church planting. Pray for sensitivity to where we can best inspire, empower and support churches in these three areas.

Convention coming close

Final preparations are under way for the provincial MB convention being held at Faith River Christian Fellowship Church in Saskatoon on March 13-14. Please pray that God will be honoured as reports are given and as decisions will be made for the future. Pray also for the congregation as they make arrangements for hosting this convention.

What would happen . . .

What would happen in Saskatchewan if we would believe that God is already at work in the people we work with, live with in our community, and rub shoulders with at personal interest events? Pray that God would arrange for us to cross the paths of people he has readied for us to connect with. Pray that we would have a gracious spirit and a listening ear as we build safe relationships.

If you have something that you’d like prayer support for from your fellow member churches of the Saskatchewan Conference, please forward it to the website coordinator.
