Church prayer bulletin
October 2009
Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Sabbatical = spiritual and physical renewal
Pray for spiritual and physical refreshment for Pastor Darren and Kandi Holland from Watrous. They are now into their second month of a four month sabbatical. Today Dwayne Barkman, Director of Harvest Saskatchewan, is speaking at the Philadelphia MB Church. Pray that God will do an amazing work as he and others speak in Darren’s absence.
SK pastors gather for refreshment
Today through Tuesday SKMB pastors gather for the annual Pastoral Retreat at Dallas Valley Ranch Camp. Pray for their spiritual and physical renewal as they reconnect with each other and with God and for Paul Woodburn from Bethany College as he speaks from the Gospel of John.

Be thankful!
Today is a day for us to count our blessings! Pray for Director of Church Ministries Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege as they minister in Glenbush today. Praise God for faithful people in this community. Pray for a spirit of encouragement, thanksgiving and challenge through the ministry of the Word.
Inspired to confess
Pray for the Forest Grove Community Church as they prepare to host the Canadian MB Study Conference this Thursday to Saturday. Pray that those who attend will truly be inspired to confess Jesus Christ as Lord in a pluralistic world.

Glieges in Kelstern
The season of giving thanks continues . . . pray for Director of Church Ministries Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege as they minister to the congregation at Kelstern today. Praise God for the faithful witness of this congregation. Pray for them as they prepare for their 100th anniversary celebration in July!
Off to Austria!
Pray for Dwayne and Irma Barkman (director of Harvest Saskatchewan) and Wayne and Helen Harms as they leave today for two weeks of ministry in Austria at an MBMS International missionary retreat. The retreat will include a two day marriage seminar. Pray for good health, travel safety and an effective spiritual ministry for the Barkmans and Harms as they, together with Ron and Betty Russel from Regina, lead the marriage retreat.
October 25
Borden transplants
After 104 years in the same location, the congregation at Borden MB Church will gather for a final time today in their country setting. Pray for much wisdom for Director of Church Ministries Ralph Gliege as he speaks at this service. Pray for a ministry of tenderness as this place has become very precious to so many. Pray also for a spirit of celebration for what God has done and then pray for an anticipation of what God will do as the congregation “transplants” itself into the town of Borden.
