Church prayer bulletin
April 2010
Please place the following weekly prayer requests in your church bulletins on the designated Sunday, and if possible pray about the need during that same service. We also encourage the entire church to follow the weekly pastor/church prayer schedule of the senior pastor.

Monthly prayer focusThis is resurrection month! We celebrate the resurrection of Christ. We see the earth “spring” forth with new life. As we know Christ and the power of his resurrection pray that we too will spring forth with new life! |
April 4
“Christ is risen!”
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). Pray that we might stand firm, let nothing move us and give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord.
Ordinary churches becoming church planting networks
Pray for Lead Pastor Bruce Enns of Forest Grove Community Church and Harvest Saskatchewan Director Dwayne Barkman who will be in New York April 10–13 with several other leaders from other provinces who are meeting with Tim Keller, Redeemer network church plants, and church planters. Pray for an understanding of how we as ordinary churches can become church planting networks in our towns and cities.
April 11
Sabbatical prayers
Several pastors will be on sabbatical throughout this year. Please pray for Steve and Trish White from Lanigan as they are now into the last half of their sabbatical and also pray for Jason and Karina Dyck from Dalmeny as they have just begun their sabbatical. Pray for good rest, refreshment and renewal during this time. Pray for God’s blessing on the ministries at Lanigan and Dalmeny.
Round two in Meadow Lake
Pray for Director of Harvest Saskatchewan Dwayne and his wife Irma Barkman as they meet with Northwest Community Church in Meadow Lake April 16–17 for their second ReFocusing Summit.
April 18
Executive support
Pray for the Executive Board as they meet this Friday. Pray for guidance as they give direction to our provincial conference and for wisdom planning the Fall Leadership Forum.
Wedding bells
On Saturday Kristen Willems, director of ministry to children at Parliament Community Church in Regina, will be joined in marriage to Tyler Dursten. Pray for a wedding that will honour God and a marriage that will be blessed by God.
April 25
Blessed with a sabbatical
Today Director of Church Ministries Ralph and his wife Grace Gliege will be ministering in Waldheim. Praise the Lord for the faithful youth ministry of Justin and Jodi Klassen who are being blessed today as they take a sabbatical. Pray for God’s special blessing on the youth ministry as it continues in the absence of their youth pastor.
Round three in Meadow Lake
April 30 and May 1 Director of Harvest Saskatchewan Dwayne and his wife Irma Barkman will be meeting with the Northwest Community Church in Meadow Lake for their third ReFocusing Summit. Pray for this congregation as it clarifies its vision for the next era.
